Biography

Michael West received his bachelor's in electrical and computer engineering in 1980. He has worked as chief scientist at InFocus Systems, as an integrated circuit design engineer for Bipolar Integrated Technology, and held various integrated circuit design positions at Floating Point Systems, a super-computer company.

He co-founded Pixelworks, the leading provider of system-on-a-chip integrated circuits for the advanced display market, and is vice president and chief technology officer at the company where he is responsible for managing new technology development.

His company's ImageProcessor Architecture powers the world's most highly regarded flat panel display products, including monitors and projectors marketed by Compaq, Dell, NEC- Mitsubishi, Samsung, Sony, and ViewSonic.
